It would depend on the type of infusion probably and the severity of RA. But with a weakened immune system, surgery and possible infections would be an issue.

Being off for a couple weeks before and after surgery wouldn't be too bad for me bc Im moderate to severe. I had to be off for oral surgery.

But my sister would probably be advised differently as she is severe OsteoA, RA and PsA. I need to ask her abt that since she will have a hip replacement soon.

Also, you probably have been advised about osteo porosis meds/infusion, any anti-inflammatory meds and blood-thinning supplements and meds, alcohol or tobacco products.

Healing quickly and efficiently is the main goal and getting back on our routine RA meds so inflammation doesn't cause more issues.

It's awful to have to go thru these large joint surgeries. I hope you are surrounded by many loving and supportive ppl to help you through. And maybe a good pet or two!
