when I am working on the laptop I do keep my feet elevated as I've noticed it does help. There has been times when I will lower them onto the floor for a brief 10 to 15 minutes then place them back onto the coffee table where I have a memory foam pillow they go onto.

There are times when I will use a form of compression sock that doesn't cover the toes and the sock height is slightly past the ankle. I do have another compression sock that gives light compression from the entire foot to right below the knee cap without causing pain.

I like using both as they are quite comfortable

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) can significantly affect your feet, leading to various symptoms and complications:

- Pain and Swelling: You may experience swelling, redness, and a feeling of warmth around the affected joints. Pain is very common.
- Deformities: RA can cause joints to weaken and deform, leading to issues like bunions, hammertoes, and claw toes.
- Fat Pad Atrophy: Thinning of the fat pad across the ball of your foot can exacerbate pain.
- Rheumatoid Nodules: Hard lumps may develop under the skin, often around pressure points, causing discomfort.
- Difficulty Walking: These symptoms can make walking and daily activities challenging.

To manage these symptoms, it's crucial to stick to your RA treatment plan, which may include medications like NSAIDs, steroids, DMARDs, or biologics. Regular exercise and proper footwear can also help maintain foot health.

Thanks for the input. I just got off of prednisone after being on that 5 mths. Didn’t really help with the pain. I’ve only been on Simponi for 11 weeks. I just had my third infusion and I was told it could take to the third or fourth to start seeing results. They tried me on methotrexate first and I couldn’t tolerate it. That wasted 10 weeks. Every process seems so slow. Hoping for good results soon. I see my RA this coming Thursday so I will definitely ask the question regarding dosage.

My RA is in my feet. Don’t really have pain anywhere else. They feel like tight bands are around them especially at the ankles. There are some spots that feel like something sharp is jabbing into the foot. I went from walking 5 miles a day to struggling with a walker. I was taking Tylenol arthritis but I stopped taking it yesterday because I have been using it for 6 mths which is not good. Funny thing is my feet actually feel better with not taking it. Haven’t found a cream of any kind that gives me relief and I have tried a lot. Not giving up. Hoping my medication starts kicking in. I was put on Leflunomide and Simponi Aria infusions. If you find anything that helps please pass along.
