Has Anyone Gone On Disability Due To Their RA?
It’s getting harder and harder to get through a workday.
Now that's an issue. A person is not eligible for medical insurance until they have been on disability for 24 months. And then you have to pay for it like Medicare. Luckily, I have a teacher's pension and I get medical insurance through my job still. I have to pay for it, but I put it in my budget. I couldn't believe people can't get medical insurance on disabilty!
I am a retired teacher on disability. I had to leave early because of RA. It bothered me a lot before, but I realize now that it had to be done. It was so hard to work, especially as a teacher. I truly understand how you feel.
I heard it is all in the writing by your doctor.
Does disability pay for your medication? That’s my big worry, losing my job and with it my insurance. I have nightmares about it
Oh my gosh, so sorry to hear that. I wish you all the best, I can't believe how someone could use your illness for dismissal purposes... it's truly illegal...you must be feeling so down...hugs
