I do also agree that stopping prednisone to fast can screw up your body. When having that much ,I would usually drop about 5mg at a time. When I have a skin rash I treat it as being allergic to something and use benedryl. Still you should check with your Dr. Good luck.

Check with your rheumy. It's not good to stop taking steroids suddenly. You need to wean yourself off of them

I was put on that dose just for a week whilst ill with breathing problems, I dropped back to my 5 mg with no problems, apparently a short dose like that does not need to be weaned off as I did ask at the time it’s only with long term use, as I say I was fine, no apparent side effects, sometimes it can cause redness in the face for me but nothing drastic, check it out with your rheumy or doc to be safe and for reassurance xx

Like Tonda said, you must wean off prednisone because of side effects

Well dr doesnt think its cos the steroids.not sure what else?? But i go to a dermatologist.
