How Much Does Your RA Affect Your Gut? Does The Consistent Inflammation Cause Your Intestines To Do The Same?

I've had stomach issues since 1994 and bone issues since before then. I'm wondering if they go hand in hand. I just had a colonoscopy today. Thick colon walls and polyps. Adding another medication to my daily regimen now. đŸ¤ĻđŸŊ‍♀ī¸

Yes! I take a probiotic daily and try to avoid or limit heavy, spicy, greasy foods. Had to stop my NSAID because of ulcerations in colon. RAD affects everything absolutely everything!!

I have colitis and have been told that it goes right along with RA and OA. Watch out for the night shade foods. Peppers, potatoes etc.

When I have a flare up, *everything* flares up. I try to eat soup, mild foods, and juice a lot of veggies so at least if I'm not making it worse when it's really bad.
