I bought a pair of wide toe flat bottom shoes on Amazon called Sports. They are different looking. But boy do my feet like them.

For support, stability and comfort I wear Saucony. I get 7.5 wide and grey Saucony ankle socks bc they stay new and clean looking longer. Ebay sells new for less than 50.00 sometimes. There are stretchy, bungee type shoe laces you can buy for abt 5 dollars, so it's easy to slide on and off without tying them.

As I've gotten older, and am not as coordinated as I used to be. Years ago, my Podiatrist told me to wear these shoes for safety and comfort. Never to wear flip flops, backless clog type shoes, or spongy shoes like crocks that wobble or are prone to slip around. Also, to buy a half to whole size larger for swelling. Everyone's feet swell when we are on them a lot.

Yes, these shoes cost more bc they are worth it. Cheap shoes cause problems like neromas, bunions, calluses, Arch problems, deformed toes, tendon issues, knees, hip and spinal issues, headaches and even
teeth issues bc of clenching.

Grocery shopping is a lot easier in good shoes. Hope this helps.

I wear nothing but Hoka's - the Hoka Bondi style, is my choice. They can cost about $150, but really last. I buy a pair each year. I've had surgery on my feet 3 times. Two on the right and once on the left. Bone removed, toes shortened, spurs and of course the bunion. The ball of my foot feels like I have a boulder under my toes. The Hoka's really do help cushion and help with impact. I've had skechers before but when I saw my Podiatrist the first time, he took the shoe, put the toe in one had and the heel in the other and twisted it like he was going to tie a knot. This convinced me that there is no support there. Every Drs office I've been to, Ortho, Podiatrist, Rheumatologist, they all wear Hoka's and always ask me how I like mine.
As we get older, we lose the fat in our feet, this is what makes it hard to walk on uneven surfaces. I don't feel incline or decline of surfaces, especially if they're unexpected. I feel like I miss everything because I'm always looking down and watching my step. 😜
@A myRAteam Member Hope you find something that works.

I've recently discovered Skechers go walk shoes with something called goga mat cushioning. They seem to help me. For summer shoes check out the Jefferson by native shoes.
