I’m Getting Over A Big Flare Up. I’ve Been Diagnosed Since 2019 And This For Sure Was The Most Painful Flare Up I’ve Had Since.
How do you handle the pain?
Heat works best for me when NSAIDs and pain killers don't. Wet heat (like a shower or bath, even steam) is always better than dry heat. My only issue is that it only works while being applied.
Thanks Deb.
The RA powers that be must be handing out bad flares all around. After 23 years with RA I'm in the worst flare I've ever had. My mouth and jaw have even begun to swell. I am forcing myself to stop, rest even if I'm not tired, I've increased my anti oxidant diet and loading up on spinach and protein. I have also done a bit of pushing back the tears. Flares are so exhausting!! I hope with time and rest you'll get through. Just know you are not alone! Big hugs!
Hi Kristina, thank you for reaching out. Yes they do work only when applied. How do you describe the pain in a flare up?
