Certainly! Here is detailed information about the RSV vaccine based on my knowledge base:

- RSV Vaccine Approval: Earlier this year, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the first RSV vaccine in the U.S. The RSV vaccine is recommended for adults aged 60 and older and infants. However, it is not yet approved for people with weakened immune systems.

- RSV Vaccine Uptake: In a poll conducted, 41 percent of respondents aged 60 and older have received the RSV vaccine this year.

- Reasons for Not Getting the RSV Vaccine:
- Lack of Doctor Recommendation: 18 percent of respondents mentioned their doctor did not recommend it.
- Unawareness: Some respondents were not aware of the vaccine.
- Timing Issues: Scheduling around other vaccines or medications was a concern for some.
- Planning to Get It: 30 percent plan to get the RSV vaccine this year.
- Consulting Doctors: Some respondents plan to discuss it with their doctors during their next visit.

- RSV Seasonality: RSV is a virus that causes cold-like symptoms and is more serious in babies, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems. It is seasonal, typically starting in the U.S. during the fall and peaking in the winter.

- Poll Insights: The poll revealed that a lack of doctor advice, unawareness, and timing issues were key factors in skipping the RSV vaccine.

I had RSV which turned to pneumonia 2 years ago. Last year I got a COVID booster and RSV vaccination no issues. Also did flu vaccine separately. All fine just sore arms for a day or two. I’m on plaquenil with no issues. I’m getting the vaccines again don’t want to be as sick as two years ago. Sick 3 months lost 15 pounds

I get Covid and Flu every year without fail. I won't go without having both Flu and the Covid vaccine considering my health and the household that I live in. I do appreciate your feedback.
