It is also known as adult-onset Type 1 diabetes. It's an auto-immune issue where instead of the insulin receptors breaking down, the pancreas quits producing insulin.

Can you explain type 1.5? I’ve had RA for 21 years. I just developed type 2 in the last 6 months. But I don’t know about 1.5.
