It would help to give it a trial run , try it for a couple of hours everyday and see how it works , if you feel fine gradually increase the time, otherwise a nanny can come help and you can oversee how the baby is being taken care of , that should make the mother feel safe at least you are watching the baby without having to change the diapers and feeding.

It is okay to say no due to your RA, especially if it affects your hands. RA has affected my hands. Most everything I try to carry eventually ends up on the floor. You got to do what’s best for you right now.
