Yes, people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) have a higher risk of developing urinary tract infections (UTIs). RA is an inflammatory disease that can lead to an overactive immune system, increasing the risk of infections. Studies have shown that individuals with RA face more than twice the risk of UTIs compared to those without RA. This risk is even higher in those who use corticosteroids long-term. If you continue to experience symptoms despite negative test results, it's important to follow up with your healthcare provider.
