These major leg and foot cramps started around April 15th. The thighs and the calves had cramping right at the knee joints. Some of them were so bad my husband had to get up and massage them and then get me into a position so they didn't start up again. My toes also cramp. Esther, I just had this conversation with my rheumatologist the other day. I told him I couldn't stay hydrated on the methylprednisolone, yet I know I need it. It sounds like you're experiencing muscle cramps in various areas. Here are some general tips that might help:

- **Stay Hydrated**: Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day. If you're active or it's hot, sports drinks can help replenish electrolytes.
- **Stretch Regularly**: Stretch your muscles, especially before and after exercise and before going to bed if cramps occur at night.
- **Proper Nutrition**: Ensure you're getting enough potassium, calcium, and magnesium in your diet, as deficiencies can contribute to cramps.
- **Manage Exercise**: Avoid overexertion and increase your exercise intensity gradually.
- **Comfortable Footwear**: Especially for toe cramps, wear shoes that provide good support and do not squeeze your toes.

If cramps persist, it's a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider to explore further. They can perform tests to check for any underlying issues and suggest appropriate treatments based on the cause of your cramps.

It is the vinegar and salt in the pickle juice that helps your electrolyte balance. It isn’t crazy Laura.

Oh no, well I've also heard that coconut water is good. I'm going to try that too.

I had cramps for years then found out my electrolytes were out of whack when I started drinking coconut water and my cramps disappeared.
