I have had a good response to Rinvoq after having experienced problems with Zeljanz. I still take Methotrexate each week, and hope to get off this drug someday.

Rinvoq is a JAK Inhibitor. It has worked well in dealing with RA. However, while on it have experience 2 minor strokes. From what I read it has the possiblity of causing these. Nothing else was working and really dont have any other choice. Have gone thru a tribe of others RA alternative before Rinvoq. Been on it for more than 5 years. My biggest regret

It's great that you're reaching out for support and information about Rinvoq (Upadacitinib) for your rheumatoid arthritis treatment. While I can't provide direct opinions from others, I can share that Rinvoq is a Janus kinase inhibitor approved for adults with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis who have not responded well to Methotrexate. It can be prescribed alone or with Methotrexate. Rinvoq works by blocking Janus kinase enzymes, which are involved in the inflammation process of rheumatoid arthritis. It's taken once a day in extended-release tablet form.

Common side effects include upper respiratory infections, fever, nausea, and cough. There are also rare but serious side effects like life-threatening infections, blood clots, liver problems, lymphomas, tuberculosis, and fetal harm in pregnant women.

For personal experiences and opinions, joining a community like myRAteam, where you can connect with others who understand and might be on the same medication, could be very beneficial. Sharing experiences and tips can be incredibly supportive. Remember, everyone's experience with medication can vary, so it's also important to stay in close contact with your healthcare provider to monitor your progress on Rinvoq.
