Otc Voltaren same strength as rx Voltaren but they do have a stronger version in prescription but it was not 1 usually prescribed. Voltaren has been a miracle for me as well. The only thing most people don't get is that you usually can't just use 1 time & think it will work...it takes repeated uses b4 you know if it works or not.

In addition to the OTC anti-inflammatory pills, ( I use Ibuprofen), I've found compression gloves usually help. Good luck.

It sounds like you're dealing with a lot of discomfort. Here are some strategies that might help alleviate hand pain, especially if it's related to rheumatoid arthritis (RA):

- **Topical Treatments**: Some people find relief using creams or salves like those containing emu, tea tree oil, or CBD (where legally available).

- **Paraffin Wax Baths**: A warm wax bath can provide temporary relief from arthritis pain and sore joints or muscles.

- **Curcumin Supplements**: Known for anti-inflammatory properties, curcumin (found in turmeric) may help with RA symptoms.

- **Heat or Cold Applications**: Heat can ease pain and relax muscles, while cold may dull pain. Epsom salts or ice can also be beneficial.

- **Over-the-Counter Topicals**: Products like Arnica gel might reduce pain when applied regularly.

- **Splints and Orthoses**: These can decrease pain, swelling, and prevent deformity.

- **Compression Gloves**: These gloves can reduce stiffness and swelling and are particularly helpful if worn for extended periods.

- **Exercise and Occupational Therapy**: An occupational therapist can design an exercise program to improve function and slow progression of deformity.

Remember, it's important to consult with a healthcare professional, like a rheumatologist, before starting any new treatment to ensure it's appropriate for your specific condition.
