Has Anyone Let Go Of Their Jobs Because Of Their RA? If So, How Did You Deal With This?
Ughhh , i know exactly how you feel when I feel like this I take warm baths. I’ve been trying to fight off the RA Symptoms but I end up just burning out. it’s only been getting worse I’ve noticed. There are days where I do use some personal time for the fatigue feeling and pain, and to be honest it’s been unbearable for me to even perform my daily basic life duties. I’m definitely Considering disability benefits.
Yes I had to quit my job and go on disability. I've had RA for 16 years now and I have not had my symptoms controlled in a long time. I'm sitting on my couch right now wrapped in a blanket with a jacket on and jogging pants. When I'm painful I get cold and I've git the shakes and feel sick to my stomach from the pain I'm in this evening! It's terrible, I loose a lot of days over this and there's no way I can work a job this way!
Thanks for sharing , I’ve had RA for about 6 years now , and it’s only been getting worse as expected. Chronic fatigue has been a major battle for me and I’m considering applying for disability benefits. I’ve been the type of person to just work, but I can’t ignore my body any longer.
I was let go from my job but at that time I hadn't been diagnosed with RA. I was just having major health issues. I ended up filing for disability and was "lucky" enough to get approval first try. I put lucky in parentheses only because I'm not sure being so sick you get approved right off the bat is lucky... Lol
