Does Anyone With RA And Post Covid Syndrome Experience Added Problems With Fatigue, Brain Fog, Joint And Muscle Pains?

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭
London, UK

I contracted COVID19 in Jan 2021 and was subsequently diagnosed with Post Covid Syndrome. Since that time my fatigue, brain fog, sleep difficulties and pain in both joints and muscles has increased. I have good and bad days. I had an MRI of my brain due to concern re possible muscular sclerosis but luckily this was ruled out. Good morning Shabina,

From what I've read Long Covid symptoms range in a variety of symptoms. The inflammation in our body during the COVID infection leaves the patient with long-term inflammation. I have attached an article below about this.

Thanks Jackie. Symptoms are awful and I hope you find the best treatment for you. I am definitely struggling more physically and emotionally since having covid. However the support I get from this forum and RA warriors like you is great.

I was diagnosed with RA after having Covi19 in September of 21, RA diagnosed in April of 22. My numbers for blood tests can look great but my symptoms are horrible. My doctor has treated me based on my symptoms not my numbers he said they don't always match what your body is doing. Swelling, pain, fatigue, and brain fog are the worst. Haven't found a treatment that has made everything go away yet but it seems like Covid19 made things much worse.
