Tips To Manage Flares

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭
Pelham, NH

Hi! I’m hoping someone can provide tips for managing a severe flare? I’m in so much pain that I’m almost nonfunctional, running a low grade fever and beyond exhausted. I reached out to my rheumatologist, but haven’t heard back yet. I’m under a considerable amount of stress at work right now, which I’m sure triggered this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Stress is bad for me causing flares for me. Do you have any steroids to use during a flare. I have Decadron and it helps I have to take it 3 to 5 days and I get back to some since of normal. If to bad can always go to er or PC for help. Hope this helps some. Sorry your in so much pain hugs and prayers for you
