Do You Have Triggers Or Something That Makes Your Symptoms Worse?

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭

I have found that stress and getting overheated make me hurt badly. In that respect I guess they are triggers. I try to manage my stress, and I am doing baby steps toward losing weight (I need to lose a lot, part of my problem). I really need to eat healthy and exercise more, but am fearful of going after it too hard. I am sure that there is more that trigger my symptoms, but those are the big two that I have discovered so far.

Cold rainy days cause flare ups. Eating dairy, desserts, red meat, shell fish, bread, pasta and any processed food. Pain of course, keeps you from getting a good night's sleep, so I'm swollen stiff in severe pain and fatigued.y I'm one of the 34% of people who are resistant to most DMARS and Biologics. I tested positive for the RF factor. The Sed range is 0-30, my last blood test was 101. Inflammation has overtaken my body. I'm taking the holistic route; Tumeric is one of my best defense for pain and minimizing inflammation.
My faith in Jesus Christ keeps anchored.

Doing too much, doing too little, sleeping too much and sleeping too little - it’s all about a balance for me, some days I feel like I am damned if I do and damned if I don’t with most things. Eating healthy does help a lot but I had really bad neck pain last night, I had some tramadol and today I feel like I have a hangover….and now I am regretting even taking it, still trying to figure it all out too. Stress is also a big trigger for a flare up.

Weight loss os a goal... but hard when fatigue and steroids are against you. I find adding in healthy foods to my diet are helping, but reducing stress is next to impossible..... its a struggle and a humbling experience.

My triggers so far are stress and red meat. I’m also on a weight loss journey.

Changed from Canada dry gingerale..thought it helped my upset tummy and to get gas up ..
