Members offered reassurance to someone worried about testing positive for TB after switching from Remicade to Humira, with several sharing that false positives or latent TB exposures that never become active are surprisingly common and that chest X-rays often come back clear. One member described their own experience of having active TB requiring six months of medication and severe breathing difficulties, while others explained that once exposed to TB, skin tests may always show positive even when X-rays confirm no active infection. A recurring theme was encouragement not to panic before getting results, paired with prayers and well-wishes for a speedy resolution and pain-free days ahead.

Yes I have, I wouldn’t worry yet chest X-ray will probably be clear! I worked in the medical field before all this Ra and other mess, failed a tb skin test and now always will but X-rays always clear! Latent tb exposure that never become active, actually kinda common but they will always test for sure. I’m sure everything will be good, here’s to pain free as possible days and Happy Holidays😀

No I haven't but I have a lingering cough, I've been on humira about a year now. I haven't had a tb test in quite a while. I think I will check into this. Thought it was allergies I've had 2 rounds of antibiotics, and a round of i.v. antibiotics as well.
