Tools For Crafting Hobbies - What Has Helped You Continue, Despite RD’s Effects On Your Hands?
The answers will help many of us continue keeping our hands mobile - and of course the joy of creating beautiful things!!!
I crochet. I have a set of Clover Amour Hooks. While they are expensive at regular prices, you can get them on sale pretty cheap on Amazon if you are patient.

I am an adult colorist. Don’t laugh. There are 100s of groups on fb with 1000s of members.
I'm a sewist and have incorporated so many things to help me keep going when my hands don't work!
-Angle nosed tweezers with a fat handle to grab little things like thread ends, to thread needles, pick up pins, etc.
-Self-threading needles.
-I use a squeeze bottle of washable fabric glue in place of pins whenever possible.
-Chalk pens instead of flat tailor's chalk.
-Quilting gloves to help grab fabric when it's in the sewing machine.
-Rotary cutter and ruler instead of scissors when possible.
-Use lightweight spring-loaded scissors.
-A heavy iron that I can glide along the fabric instead of a lightweight one I have to keep pushing down (the weight of the iron flattens wrinkles as opposed to having to push down on the wrinkles when using a lightweight iron).
-Spring loaded needle-nosed pliers and silicone thimbles to help grip needles when hand sewing.
-Epsom salt when I've done too much sewing and my hands have decided to rebel.
I crochet, knit, sew, paper craft, paint. I find that when I immerse myself in a project I tend to forget I hurt. It brings me great joy when I create something. And if I'm a little stiff when finished, I just curl up on the couch with my dogs and watch a movie.
