Actemra
Hello. I'm just beginning Actemra; I'm doing injection, have had one and am due for another in a week. I have had the Vectra test (several times) and am consistently high (out of range) on IL6 so i'm really hoping Actemra is the med for me. I'm also hoping to do it as a mono-therapy even though that isn't really popular at my Rheumy group. I am due for my 4th self injection of Actemra today. So far I'm finding little relief but know it takes a long time to be effective if in fact it is effective.
Fingers crossed it has gone well for you. Im doing actemra injections weekly but thats it. I didnt realize that so many other people do this on top of methotrexate! That stuff was murder!
It takes 4-6 months to gauge its effectiveness. It was about 65% percent effective. It worked well to control the RA in the lower body but not my wrists and my hands. I wasn't able to rely on it as a monotherapy.

I took actemra mono therapy at onset of my diagnosis. My dr felt he was getting good response from his patients on mono therapy. Good luck
