I have taken xeljanz since 2015 and overall I am a lot better my blood test are very good,I also take Methotrexate but i am wondering if the Methotrexate increases the risk of skin cancer as I have 2 spots Basal
cell carcinoma on my face removed, and I need two more done soon, is it advisable to stop taking Methotrexate.
Sorry do not know an answer to the question l only know it is suggested not to sit in the sun when on methotrexate
@A myRAteam Member I don’t know if you know that you can keep those mouth sores away is by taking Folic Acid 800 mcg per day. You can also use Colgate Mouthsore rinse every night before bed. Hope that helps.
I love to hear good results from a drug I am about to start. Have you had any stomach problems while on xeljanz? I can't wait to get started ~I too am hoping to get off Methotrexate~it is no longer doing anything for me & my mouth sores are really bothering me~!
Thank you all I try not to go in the sun at all and use a sun hat as well.
No I avoid he sun as much as I can and when I go out put always sunscreen on.
My Doctor Wants To Start Me On Enbrel, Humira Or Xeljenz. Has Anyone Had Any Luck With Any Of Them? What Side Effects Have You Experienced?
