Hi I am on Arava for 7 years and have had no side affects . Perhaps you should try it. However the generics on the market caused bad side affects so I can only take the original. Good luck feel better 😊

I had the top lobe of my right lung removed because of a cancerous growth, went to cancer clinic because I had to register and the Oncologist said RA can cause nodules on lungs as well as other areas, could have been a side effect of the RA drug I am on , Orencia.. my surgeon told me not to take chemo so I didn’t. I do have lung infections fairly often and spent 12 days in hospital three years ago with bacterial pneumonia. Still suffer shortness of breath at times but lung X-rays are clear.

My rheumy nurse is thinking of cutting back my methotrexate injection amount and including Arvara as the methotrexate is making me nauseous, improves slightly if I have a gaviscon tablet after the injection but still feeling a bit nauseous the next day. I'm scared to change as I don't want to go back to how I was, but also I don't like this nausea. I am still on5mg prednisone but they want me to get of it asap as they now say I shouldn't be on it full time now, my GP told me once if I could get down to 5mg she was happy for me to stay on that for the rest of my life, My rheumy nurse also told me to take Neurofen for pain but my GP says that is too hard on the stomach to take Calibrex. GP's and rheumy workers don't seem to agree on things, but who is right????
