My Doctor Wants Me To Have An EMG Because My CPK Levels Have Been Elevated Since December. Does Anyone Have Experience With The EMG Test?

Yes, I've had that test done 3 times. It's painful but not twrrible. What gave me great pain was when the shocking happens because of the needle, not actual getting the needle but tiny pricksalong the effected area. Which tells nerve damage. You will be fine##

I've had a couple of these as well, and I honestly hated this test. I found it to be painful and lengthy.

I just had an EMG done on my hands and arms, it was uncomfortable, and at times painful. But it's not a constant pain, it only lasts a second or so, they let you know when it's going to happen. I hope this helps you.
