I have mild RA and oesteoarthritis. Tried three different dmards with limited success. Seems like the oesteo is the primary proble. Currently taking varying levels of pain relief, exercise and diet but not really helping. Any ideas are welcom. Have you tried a medication which has a positive effect on both or do a I just have to suck it up and get on with it?

Limit your sugar intake, you do not have to go all keto like myself, but SUGAR is a KNOWN INFLAMATORY agent. Foods high in sugar, 1 fruits dont eliminate these just watch amount consumed.
2 anything NOT GOD MADE.
So eat lots of meat, and veggies

What might work/help for osteo may not be what is needed for RA and vice versa. I have both. Celebrex did nothing for the OA. Ibuprofin has proved to help the most. I also take RA meds. I've had RA for about 12 1/2 years. Treatment for OA is not going to help with the RA. They are two totally different entities. See a rheumatologist and see what he/she suggests for your RA. It's nothing to fool around with. Once you have damage it cannot be undone.

I had osteoarthritis first and had to have knee surgery and. A year later, hip surgery on the opposite side. I have taken several anti-inflammatory meds - most upset my stomach. In between surgeries I found out I had RA and started taking Arava or Leflunomide for it with additional prednisone. But not until I was put on Humira did I get much relief from RD. It has helped my osteoarthritis too. For the fatigue I added a super complex B to my vitamins. If I am around someone with a cold I will take extra C also. Blue Emu cream helps with both for me. If I have to I will take an anti-inflammory Med Diclofenic and I also have a gel of it that helps too. Sometimes I think I have fibromyalgia and my RA dr says the Humira helps that too. A good RA dr is a must!!

I to have R A and osteoporosis. I got RA first then after many years of predisione got osteoporosis. Each treatment is different. I have tried countless different treatments. This past year I was put on forteo a injection you take every day for two years to help rebuild bones Soon I'll get a bone scan to see if it actually is working.
Please see a good reumtologist to find what might work for you
Many blessings.
