Xeljanz

I am wondering if people on xeljanz are having good results, and if so what other drugs did they take before xeljanz. I have been on and taken off of methotrexate, (increased liver enzymes), sulphasalazine, (allergic reaction), Arava ( increased liver enzymes), [[treatment:Enbrel:54c034ca[[phone:8608753443000381]] ( 6:]] and a half years of remission and then it quit, I had anti-bodies that made my body resistant to it), Humira, (did not work because of antibodies), and Orencia ( worked for… read more

I've run the gamut of meds as well..methotrexate, arava, remicade, orencia, rituxan, actemra, humira, & xeljanz. I didn't have any side effects on xeljanz but it just didn't seem to work for me. I've had the best luck with rituxan, having 5yrs in remission, but it just stopped working. (Sad face) How fortunate that you got 6yrs in remission on enbrel!! I beleve RA has the ability to morph around the meds, which is a rotten trick if you ask me so I hope you find the right drug & live a life in remission. Good luck!

Thanks Karen,
I have been on it now for 3 weeks and am seeing some good results too! I can move my fingers again, except my thumb is still locking up. Hope you keep getting good results

I am currently on Xeljanz and Plaquinil. I have been on Xeljanz only 2 months and it has been working fantastic for me!!
I also have alopecia, and my hair is growing back!! But I do have to get labs every 4 weeks but they have been within normal limits. I still have good days and bad days, but I am able to function a bit more for sure. The fatigue was debilitating for the longest time, and now I am finding a bit more energy to do more than usual.
But I went right from Plaquinil to Xeljanz due to the Alopecia so I did not have to try the other meds before I was given Xeljanz. So I guess my bald head was a blessing!! Best of luck to you
