I don't think it's as strong as it was once thought as. Even my rheumy, a few months in said it would stop working at some point. I have added sulfasalazine to my regimen but it's not helping enough.

I take it for once a week for about a year it did OK at first but now I don’t think it’s strong enough

I did take folic acid with it and the first 2 months were great besides the annoying side effects but that 3rd month my hair came out by the handfuls! I was told to stop it immediately. It's been 2 years and I would say 75% came back. Unfortunately I have a few REALLY thin sections that are permanent now.
I tried plaquinil but I saw no effect one way or another. I'm glad it's working for you! :)

I loved Arava! But it made all of my hair fall out in a month. :(

I've been taking it weekly for about a year and a half now. I def saw a difference but it isn't as strong now. I'm just wondering if it's strength wares off faster by taking it more frequently. Good luck to you too! :)
