Common Treatments and RA

Posted on April 2, 2018

"I'm curious, what treatments have worked for you? I'm 24 years old and I just want to live my life as normal as possible. I have an appointment with a new Rheumatologist in a couple of weeks. I know everyone's body and reaction to the meds is different I just want to hear about your experiences." -A member on myRAteam

On myRAteam, the social network and online support group for those living with rheumatoid arthritis, members talk about a range of personal experiences and struggles. Common treatments are one of the top 10 topics most discussed.

Here are a few question-and-answer threads about common treatments:

What can I expect being on Humira?

What else can I do to prevent my hands from being so painful?

Have you experienced liver cirrhosis or fibrosis from methotrexate use?

How is it to go from a disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD) to a biologic?

Here are some conversations about common treatments:

My days have been really good and pain-free for the most part since I have started taking CBD oil.

Has anyone went off Humira and back on and if so what was your experience?

I have been on Methotrexate now for 7 months, Plaquinil for 4 months.

I take methotrexate once a week...today is the dreaded day. I am SO nauseous and tired.

Can you relate?
