Have You Ever Doubted Your Diagnosis?
People with RA are expected to present with damaged joints and nodules. Not everyone is at that point, especially those who got early treatment. There could be other presenting symptoms like fatigue and depression. These may be present in other conditions that mimic RA.
Have you ever thought that maybe you were misdiagnosed and were tempted to stop treatment because you do not have issues with joints anymore? How did you deal with that?

Nope, no doubts about the diagnosis - dual seropositive rheumatoid arthritis markers in my blood work, joint pain and swelling, etc.
Kim, I did the same. I was on 5 or 6 different meds. I had an acupuncture treatment, and had no pain for almost a year. That's when I began to doubt my diagnosis. I was able to exercise again, and lost some weight, all of which helps to take the pressure off the joints. I recently started having some pin prick feelings in my fingers, so may start the meloxicam again. π₯Ή
Kim, that was brave. I hope you stay like that.
I stopped my RA meds. I saw no change after 6 months on them. I have more energy now and a lot less brain fog. Also lost weight since I stopped.
