Experiencing aching and burning in the hips despite normal MRI results can be confusing. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in the hips can cause pain that radiates to the groin, buttocks, knee, or outer thigh, and may feel dull, achy, or throbbing. This pain can worsen with physical activity or after prolonged sitting or resting. Even if imaging appears normal, RA can still cause significant discomfort. Consulting with a healthcare provider for further evaluation and potential blood tests for inflammation markers might be helpful.

Mine are sore to the touch and if you can feel around and find one spot that is super sensitive it's probably bursitis, I have to get shots in both hips to help...

I have that pain in my left hip. I've had quite a few flares of inflamed bursa in the hip. Lots of therapy and exercises. I now have the start of osteoporosis just in that hip.
