Yes, many people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) experience challenges finding the right medication. Here are some insights from a patient's journey:

- Initial Treatments: Standard treatments like methotrexate and hydroxychloroquine were tried but caused side effects such as hair loss and didn't provide relief.
- Subsequent Medications: Sulfasalazine and leflunomide were also ineffective.
- Biologics: After a year of unsuccessful trials, biologics were introduced, which provided better control of inflammation and brought the patient close to remission.
- Current Medication: The patient is now on a daily pill form of a biologic, which has reduced pain and fatigue but hasn't fully restored their previous activity level.

It's common to go through multiple medications before finding one that works effectively.
