Shelly, i went to a chiropractic office also advertised as a Neuropathy specialist. They diagnosed and offered a program at Blueprinthealthcarenetwork.com. Might be ok but ridiculously expensive. My primary doctor said “see a neurologist” and I have a referral.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) can lead to peripheral neuropathy, which is damage to the peripheral nerves outside the brain and spinal cord. This condition can cause symptoms like:

- Tingling and numbness: Often felt in the upper or lower limbs.
- Prickling feeling: A pins-and-needles sensation.
- Painful or unusual sensations: These can be uncomfortable and persistent.
- Muscle weakness: This can affect your ability to perform daily tasks.
- Extreme sensitivity to touch: Even light touches can be painful.

Peripheral neuropathy in RA typically appears symmetrically, meaning it affects both sides of the body, such as both legs. If you experience these symptoms, it's important to notify your healthcare professional immediately for medical advice.

Merlekp, my neurologist did the tests on me and found it. Not much he can do for it unfortunately. I'm already on Gabapentin for a different nerve problem and unfortunately it's not working for my neuropathy...go figure. Please see the neurologist and see what they say and I hope whatever meds they prescribe will work for you

I'm experiencing the same thing, ankle feels like I'm wearing socks all the time, I get injections from my padrity sometimes, this came from sciatica nerve damage in my right side, MRI in two weeks,go see neurologist the next day, no back surgery it will be a nonsurgical exercises, I'm too old for surgery.

Hello. I also have peripheral neuropathy in my lower legs and feet. I don't get the pins and needles feeling, I get the discomfort and painful feeling. Having a blanket or anything on my feet causes so much discomfort and at times pain. I was reading through the RATeam response to your question and it says alot that I think I should investigate for myself. Did a neurologist diagnose your neuropathy? How are they treating it?
