I Have Been Off My Infusion For A While And Only Felt Small Symptoms In One Finger. Is It Possible I Don't Need The Med Anymore. Feel Fine.
It's important to stay on your medication schedule for rheumatoid arthritis, even if you feel fine. Stopping your medication can lead to a flare-up or worsening of your condition. Here are some key points to consider:
- Consult Your Doctor: Always talk to your healthcare provider before making any changes to your Show Full Answer
Grillo,
Even though my bloodwork shows I am in remission, I still take my med. RA can still raise it's ugly head and can do damage inside that you cannot see or feel until it is to late. And, sometimes when a med that is working, is stopped and you go back on it it no longer works. Always check with your Rheumatologist about any med changes.
I hope this helps.
I went off of my hydroxycloriquine after thinking my doc had found the right combination in another 2 drugs. Well I guess it was a 3 combination. After almost 2 months off of the hydroxycloriquine I felt as bad as I e ever felt and it has taken a couple of months back on it to get the pain back in control, mostly.
yes...I hear you on this. Thank you. My Dr put me out another 4 weeks becouse I had an allergy related cough..etc. I told her I was afraid the med would lower my immunity and I won't heal. So actually she put me out another 4 weeks..so I go back in for my infusion this week . I will talk to her about it though.
