Looking For Indoor/outdoor Slippers

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭

My indoor/outdoor slippers are no longer and I'd like to find a better pair since we are nearing the fall-winter season. The last pair I had was okay but I'm wondering if Crocs would help someone with back nerve damage. I'm wanting something affordable within the range of $50 and no higher. I live in the USA by as I know many of the members are from other locations. I do appreciate other's thoughts on this.

I get mine online from Orthofeet. Very comfortable but I paid 70 or 80 dollars but have had a few years. Worth it. They will be having a labor day sale usually 35% off

When choosing indoor/outdoor slippers for rheumatoid arthritis, consider the following tips from the knowledge base:

Indoor Slippers:
- Comfort and Support: Look for cushy house slippers with good support. This can help reduce pain and improve mobility.
- Dedicated Indoor Use: Have a pair of slippers specifically for indoor use to avoid tracking dirt and germs inside.
- Cushioned Mat: Adding a cushioned mat in areas where you stand a lot, like the kitchen, can also help reduce pressure on your joints.

Outdoor Slippers:
- Supportive Sole: Choose slippers with a good supportive sole and appropriate cushioning.
- Comfort Shoe Brands: Brands like Vionic, Ecco, Clarks, Merrell, Spenco, and Mephisto are recommended for their arch support, heel cups, thick soles, cushioning, and shock absorption.

General Tips:
- Alternating Shoes: Having a variety of shoes to alternate between can help avoid repetitive stress injuries.
- Proper Fit: Ensure the slippers fit well to provide the necessary support and comfort.

By following these guidelines, you can find slippers that help manage your rheumatoid arthritis symptoms effectively.
