Burning sensations and pins and needles in the hands, especially when exposed to warm water, can be associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and peripheral neuropathy. Here are some relevant points from the knowledge base:

- Peripheral Neuropathy in RA: This can cause sharp, throbbing, burning, freezing, or shooting pain. Symptoms may worsen at night and can include muscle weakness, cramping, or twitching.
- Extreme Sensitivity: Some people with peripheral neuropathy experience extreme sensitivity to touch, which might explain the discomfort in warm water.

If these symptoms persist or worsen, it's important to consult with a healthcare provider.

I started getting flares in my fingers and wrists quite a bit before taking the Methotrexate. The flares still come about in those areas just not as often and usually when the flare does come about is the day before the injection itself.

I have the pins and needles in my feet and legs all the time and the burning. I notice it the most with weather changes and when I’m really tired ironically walking doesn’t make it any worse.
