Good afternoon! If you've tested positive for COVID-19 and are considering Paxlovid, here are some key points from the knowledge base:

- Eligibility: Paxlovid is meant for treating mild to moderate COVID-19 in adults and pediatric patients (age 12 and up) who are at high risk for severe outcomes, including hospitalization or death.
- Timing: It must be taken within five days of symptom onset.
- Dosage: The treatment involves taking three pills twice daily for five days.
- Effectiveness: Paxlovid works independently of the immune system by directly targeting the virus.
- Rebound: Some patients may experience a rebound of symptoms after completing the five-day course.

Always consult your doctor to see if Paxlovid is right for you.

I took it and did good . It did leave any nasty metallic aftertaste every time I took it. Feel like it did help decrease length of sickness tho

My husband and I both had covid 2x. We took pavloxid. I'm sure it would have been worse without pavloxid. It was one week in bed and another week staying indoors, I think. Weakness, bitter taste, diarreah at the end, if your specialist advised Pavloxid, it might keep you from having a worse experience or from developing into something more complicated.

We were being careful, wearing our masks, distancing... my husband thinks he got it when getting gas at a station. He keeps sanitizer in his car door but since he records mileage and got a phone call, he thinks he forgot to use it. We don't know for certain if that's how he got it.

Those germs aren't only airborne and their viability when dry means you can get them very easily off surfaces, like hepatitis and e-coli and others.

RA patients more susceptible than others when taking these AI suppressants. Also, being older, more fragile and weakened, adds to the risk. Be careful and stay vigilant with precautions.

We were invited to go to an Astros game in Houston. I would love to go, but it's not a good idea when on Orencia infusions and using steroids while in a flare. Sitting in the hot humidity among thousands of people hooting and hollering.

I took it for the five days. It seems to speed up the symptoms and you start feeling better in a couple of days. Your taste will be off until you finish the doses. I stuck it out because I needed to get back on my RA meds asap. I started to have a flare on day 7.
