Hello my warrior's
Happy 4th of July everyone be safe and enjoy the fireworks 🎆
I had Orencia infusion once a month it was a God Send. My pain was very minimal and the first 4 years it was great. But then I noticed the Orencia infusion was only lasting one to two weeks I had to wait to get the next infusion in 4 week's. I was in so much pain I had to go to the ER for pain medication. I have never been in so much 😩 pain it took my breath away, my asthma also kicked up I was in real trouble. They uped my Prednisone from 5mg to 80mg then going down every 10mg until I hit 10mg. It helped my inflammation from my joints and lungs 🫁 I have been admitted to the hospital 🏥 more than I can count and put in the ICU 2x never want to go there again. Now I'm on oxygen 2lit when I walk and when I 😴 sleep. The Orencia helped my inflammation in my joints and lungs 🫁 I didn't have that much problem after I moved from California. The Dr.s siad if I didn't leave I would probably die, that scared me and I was taken care of my manfriend that he was very sick and one to help him so stayed onther 4 years by then I was having problems I had to call an ambulance 🚑 to get me into the ER. The Dr.s were very concerned and after 6 years with him he passed from covid he had kidney disease, heart disease and double by pass he was very week. After his passing I came to Albuquerque NM with dry air and when I moved here I had to wait 6 months to get my Orencia and I was so much pain that I cried myself to sleep 😴 😢. I still had some pain medication from California so I nursed it last at least 2 months. When I ran out of the pain medication the would not refill it so oil wanted to get TV back on Orencia waiting was hell. I hope Orencia helped you as did me.
GOD BLESS YOU
Yep that was me in the ER 😆

Hi there. Orencia can kick in after a few weeks (if you are super lucky!) or it can take 3 months or more.

Orencia (abatacept) is a biologic disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) used to treat moderate to severely active rheumatoid arthritis. It works by inhibiting the activation of T-lymphocyte immune cells, preventing them from attacking the body’s connective tissues.

While individual responses to Orencia can vary, some people may notice improvements in their symptoms shortly after starting treatment. However, it is important to follow your doctor's instructions exactly and to communicate with them about your progress and any side effects you may experience.
