It is always best to take meds as prescribed. If you are concerned have this discussion with your Rheumatologist.

No take it everyday it is not an as needed type of med it works taking daily I have been on it for 13 years.

My Rheumatologist said take 1x a day? Shouldn't I just take it as needed

Yup and less caustic to the stomach. I believe that is what my PCP mentioned
