Pain...... fatigue! I thought it was stress.
I would literally fall asleep everywhere.. My husband said once you always look exhausted are you getting enough rest?????
I started Humira in 2019 it has helped me. Not as much as I would like but some help is good.

Mine started( in 2014) with horrible pain in my shoulder , which turned out to be partially torn rotator cuff ( I'm not an athlete, nor do I do extreme workouts) . Concurrently , I had awful pain in hands and wrists , and like Monica, I thought it was carpal tunnel. My doctor sent me to occupational therapy for these issues. The Therapist strongly suggested I get tested for RA. My doctor did, and I was Sero Positive. Its been quite a journey

Swollen, very painful hand at first. Thought it was a case of carpal tunnel. Nope, that was the beginning...

I had terribly sore hands and feet in my late 30s. Diagnosed with inflammatory and erosive arthritis. Probably because my SED rates weren’t high. I had bunion surgery in my 50s. At 58, my PCP said my joints were ugly. He put me on an anti-inflammatory and, as needed, Tylenol 3.
In my 60s I developed knee, hip, back, and shoulder problems. My ortho doc suggested RA, but I didn’t see a rheumatologist until 70. Diagnosed with RA that very day. Sero negative.

Edit: I also had bilateral carpal tunnel in my late 30s.

Hands and feet at late 30s, then fever in my spine, hands and feet by 45, IBS and some weird rashes too.

Saw a rheumatologist at 54. Labs were normal. Sent me for an epidural steroid for my back and all my swelling, pain and inflammation all over reduced immediately. He said if I respond that favorably to steroids it's sero negative RA.

Yeh, long road. I'm 65 now.
