I guess every disease has stages like Ostio Arthritis
Fibromialga. I need to read up on it, I need to know if anxity, depression makes our inflammation worse if yes how? Thank you for answering my question

I definitely think RA is effected by our emotions. More inclined to get a flare up if anxious. I asked my specialist for anti anxiety meds. I must say it's helped

Hi Teresa
Definitely emotions play a roll in how you feel. I am taking my third session of pain management therapy. (Highly recommend!) The key point is that negative emotional and mental states can cause us to perceive a greater intensity of pain and discomfort. Here's what we are trying to practice...realistic or positive reactions are adaptive and allow us to experience less pain and function more effectively. Example: Pain is unbearable => Try positive coping statements, distraction, relaxation. (my comments are from the Doctor who is teaching our class.)
