Has Anyone Ever Had A High Alk Pho Level With Really High Alt And Ast Levels?
I had high ALT and AST when taking Amy of the following meds: methrotrexate, leflumonide or sulfasaladine. My rheumatologist had now asked me to try biologics. I am on Rinvoq which is 1 pill daily. I just started on Monday so I am hoping it won't cause elevated blood work or side effects.
Update June 25
Did first blood work since starting Rinvoq. None of my blood levels were high or low. All within range. Also inflamation has gone down and hands are not swollen. I know it is too early to celebrate but let's hope I continue to do good without side effects. I go for my next blood work in a months time.
Yes, and I am always told it's my meds. So then the doc rearranges dosing.
I had high alkaline phosphotase, but the alt/ast were normal. My Mayo pulmonologist sent me to endocrinology. Turned out low calcium was the cause, so now I supplement.
Tiina, I go to my pulmonologist on Tuesday so I will tell her. To get into a endocrinologist here takes months to get in especially a new patient. We only have 2 here. I just had a sonogram in November 2023 and it just showed the fatty liver I have had for years.
I truly believe my levels is not hydroxycloriquine. Marcia, I have bradycardia (which is low heart rate). I had it years ago because a slight mitro valve prolapse. Now it started when I started the biologics a couple years ago. It's weird it effects me sometimes and sometimes not. When I had pneumonia it did it for awhile. I hope the figure your's out soon.
