Anyone Seronegative
Anyone diagnosed with RA that’s seronegative with no markers of RA. How is it going and has it been confusing for you. All of my test are always negative so I just wanted others to hear the opinions of others. Thanks.
Are you asking if anyone can be seronegative for rheumatoid arthritis (RA)? Yes, individuals can be seronegative for RA. This means they do not test positive for rheumatoid factor (RF) and anti-citrullinated peptide antibodies (anti-CCP) despite meeting other criteria for RA, such as having several swollen joints and joint Show Full Answer
I am also seronegative. My ANA was off the chart and thank goodness I have a wonderful PCP. He got me into a rheumatologist in 2 months. They knew I had an autoimmune disease but wasn't sure which one. It started as mixed connective tissue disease, then to RA . It did take 2 rheumatologist before they put me on the hydroxycloriquine. Which help slow my disease. Then I have my rheumatologist now that I've had for 3 years and he's really awesome.
Your definitely not alone in how you feel about it.
Good morning 🌞
I am seronegative. Nothing shows up on tests except a slightly elevated CRP but nothing major. It took a few years to be diagnosed and it was very frustrating. I have no other health issues like diabetes or heart disease etc. Everything was determined through X-ray and MRI along with the pain I was having in my hands. Even now 5 years later all my tests show no RA factors etc. Sometimes my CRP is even not detectable. So I understand your frustration.
Yes thank you. I was beginning to feel a little down about everything after all test were negative. Thanks so much.
