I've been on several medications and can't take anything that suppresses my immune system b/c I get pneumonia often. She says there is no other medicene for me.

Good morning Linda, I’ve had pneumonia twice in the last two years. Just recently got the pneumonia vaccine. Hopefully it wards off another bout. Have you considered getting the vaccine? Hope someone in your area can refer a rheumatologist .

I'm not in the Springfield area, a little farther south in Charleston. I see a rheumatologist in Champaign at Christie Clinic. I absolutely love her. Took me 3 others before I came to her. Her name is Dr Chalasani. Hope this helps. I know it's an hour drive from you, but that's what I drive from here. Good luck in your search.
