Good morning Lujan, I had a tm flow test. It showed I have vasovagal, a sudden drop in blood pressure if I stand up too quickly. Causes dizziness. Recently started having a slight tremor in a couple of fingers. It was suggested to me that I try taking magnesium citrate supplements. Just started taking it this week so we’ll see if it helps. Hope today brings you some sunshine and laughter 🤗

Hi Lujan,
Ok, first, did the physical therapist tell you specifically why they won't start theraphy? i.e. do they want you to see a Neurologist first? If they did not give you a specific reason, find a different therapist. The reason I am saying this, after my two strokes balance was an issue and physical therapy was recommended. That therapist had me hold on to a cabinet and lift one leg for 10 reps and hold it up for a count of 10 and repeat process on the other side.
Second, RA and sometimes the meds we take can cause shaking, usually when we have over done, i.e. lifting something, walking to far, etc.
A friend has Psoriatic Arthritis and it causes him to have shakes/tremors similar to Parkinsons.
When I started therapy I had a physical therapist, occupational therapist and hand therapist. Of the 3, I would say the Occupational therapist did the most good. She taught me new ways to tie my laces, so they stayed tied, new ways to open cans, bottles, to excercise my shoulders to strengthen my hands. Also, she helped me build of strength to change gears in the car, with one hand and to drive again.
I hope this gives you some light, that you can accomplish a lot, with the right help.
We love you and will keep you in prayer.

@A myRAteam Member, unfortunately that is too true. I have had RA since 2015. I have had 2 back surgeries, one was super intense, called a 360, where they go in the front and in the back. It was a 2 day surgery. I had two knee replacements and Bariatric Sugery, I had to do PT each time, both before and after. It was required by the insurance before I could have the surgeries. Along with that I had to have an MRI, and be checked out with for my lungs, my heart and several other things. My RA doctor even had to sign off on it, though fortunately for me, all of these doctors I mentions and the Neurosurgeon who did this huge surgery all know each other and they refer patients to one another a lot. It is very helpful to have doctors from different fields, that work out of different hospital systems that will all work together like that. Even though it took a while to do all of that, it was still expedited.

My point mostly was that RA was not just recommended at each surgery and even some procedures. Even though, as you said, we are almost always a liability in one way or the other.
