Members shared mixed experiences with managing neuropathy through various therapies beyond traditional medication, with several finding meaningful relief through acupuncture, aqua therapy in heated pools, spinal decompression, and supplements like Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin E, and B12. Many members described practical challenges including insurance coverage inconsistencies for acupuncture, the slow but steady nature of improvement, and the difficulty of finding qualified practitioners in rural areas. A recurring theme was the importance of persistence and experimenting with multiple approaches, as different treatments worked for different people, with several members celebrating small victories like increased feeling in their extremities and visible improvement noticed by their medical teams.

Rapepatient 2019,, I ordered a machine called elliptical leg exercises, supposed to be good for neuropathy an poor blood flow in the feet and legs. My neurologist said this is something I have to live with, they also told me to start taking vitamin E, plus vitamin B12 the levers are low, I started taking it a week ago feeling good so far.

Ome, I am so happy that the treatments are working for you. I am doing spinal decompression for my back. It's a slow process, but I can feel the improvement. Unfortunately, my insurance does not cover it at all. It's expensive, but I look at it as an investment in me.

I have NYS Empire Plan — united healthcare. I tried an acupuncturist which lowered my inflammation but not the pain. I’ll have to try someone else.

Actually my insurance does cover it, I just have a copay. Thanks though.
