I have have had RA for over 40 years. Lately, I have been on prednisone as I wait for my new rheumatologist to put me on a new biologic.

I was on high doses of Prednisone and low doses for about 10 years. I had Avascular Necrosis in my left hip and had a new Hip Replacement in 1999. Now I have that disease in my right hip. I'm seeing an Orthodedic Dr. on Thurs .about my AVN..
I ttake Prednisone for my Asthma/Bronchitis./Pneumonia. There's really no way to answer your question because each person is different.
