Before I was diagnosed I had 7 kidney stones within a year. My urine always shows blood. I see a urologist for the problem. Not sure it is related to RA. I do a 24 hour urine study every 6 months now. You might check into seeing a urologist if you haven't already. I was diagnosed with RA shortly after the kidney stones and blood clots in my legs and lungs. It would be nice to know if they are related.

I have kidney damage from my previous medication. Even before being diagnosed i would have strange blood results.

I see a kidney specialist, we did the 24 hr specimine collection (gross) and there was lots of microscopic blood in my urine. I also had a kidney sonogram, which was normal. I have consistently had blood in my urine since I started the Methotrexate, so we're thinking that may be the cause. I stopped taking it Oct 1, and I go to the lab to leave a sample next week, then I see the nephrologist in Nov. I'm hoping it's just from the medication, and not something else. I don't have any pain or stones or anything like that.

was it from methotrexate? my nephrologist took me off of it on Oct 1 and I go for labs at the end of the month. we're hoping to rule it out before going for a biopsy
