I Have Been Experiencing A Tingling/stinging Sensation In The Back Of My Shoulder Area. Was Wondering If Anyone Else Has Had This.
Hello, I too had a problem with my shoulder, horrible pain and loss of movement about 5 months ago which I was told was a problem with the rotator cuff of my shoulder. My rheumatologist said he could fix it and gave me a steroid injection! I was a little surprised but it gave me almost immediate relief. I also had a problem with my elbow and 3 weeks ago when I saw my rheumatologist he said the burning/ stinging sensation I had was like a tennis elbow pain again he pet a steroid injection in it and again I had almost immediate relief! Donβt suffer unnecessarily the daily pain from the RA is quite enough to contend with, get some help. Thinking of you π€π€π€
I get it in my hands and feet. Painful while it is happening.
I have also suffered with type of shoulder pain. After xrays and an MRI, the Orthopedic Specialist determined I had a torn rotator cuff and my bicep tendon is frayed. I was scheduled for and had a steroid injection in my shoulder. It really helped a lot with the tingling and pain. Maybe have your Rheumatologist refer you to an Orthopedic Specialist for an MRI, as they actually show more details of the injury, if one is present. Hope this helps you. Positive energy sent for you to get this issue resolved soon. Gentle hugs π«
Hi Again, After I answered your question I scrolled down and came to some articles, you might want to read the one: RA Shoulder Pain: What It Feels Like and 4 Ways To Find Relief. I hope this helps you.
Hi Birdsofafeather it is BLMC Brentwood Bay BC. I am not exactly sure where your pain is? Have you been doing anything different, like gardening or anything? I have had pain in the area of my rotator cuff, and in between my shoulders. I am now on a small dose of Prednisone, and don't have the pain. When my shoulders used to ache, and sting, I would really be conscience of my posture and keep my shoulders back, even try to sleep on my back without a pillow, it did seem to help some. Maybe try some strengthening exercises, but you might want to run it past your Rheumy first. I hope you feel better real soon.
