I am so glad I read this! I will get hot and then get the chills like. I have to even get a blanket and I thought I was catching some kind of flu. Hahaha 😄 I too have RA & OA as well as facet Neuropathy. And my hips flare up at times. Pain is so bad I have to sleep on my back too! I've also experiencing bakers cyst behind my left knee. Almost went to ER bc it hurt so bad and I'm not a sissy. But the heating pad helped alot. Has anyone else been diagnosed with bakers cyst? Mine seems to come and go. 🤔

I have the same collective problems you have - RA, OA, Fibromyalgia, Raynaud's and peripheral neuropathy and disc problems. When I go to the doctor he always asks my pain levels and where do I hurt. Sometimes I can't tell if it is RA, OA or fiber. It's frustrating. Also I can be in pain before I get to the doctor's office and then waiting to be seen (sitting down) and then I have no pain and then I feel like he doesn't believe me because the pain comes and goes for no reason. They need a new way to rate your pain levels. 1 to 10 doesn't do it.

Colleen,

The fever with pain is usually RA, along with what you stated here hot then cold when you are having a flare-up.

It's very difficult to tell which. My hip hurts, but sometimes it feels like the ball and socket are loose and will press on my tendons in the groin area. Very painful. Most of the time it is one hip, but I have had both hips hurt at times.

Now that's a good question. I used to think I could, but it turned out when I thought it was RA, it was OA. I guess I'm better at it now than I was before I learned what was really going on in my body (through xrays, MRIs). RA pain comes with major inflammation which can be seen most of the time. OA pain has some inflammation, but it feels more like stabbing pain. It hurts, in specific places, when I move or aggravate it. I have sit or lay down before my body will calm down. I have it mainly in my spine and knees. To me, RA pain is more throbbing/full to where it can bring tears to your eyes. Like it hurts your whole being. When in a flare, there is nothing that will stop it. You can't think of anything else, but the pain. Hope this helps.

I too have a bakers cyst on the back of my right knee. So painful. I have RA and OA osteoporosis Fibromyalgia Raynaud’s and peripheral neuropathy and Sjogren’s and now degenerative disk in lumbar and cervical spine.
I’m in pain most days and not always sure what is causing it. I can truly understand what you are all going throughout. Feel better quickly and don’t overdo! Judy
