I take Naproxen 500 mgs up to 2xs a day. I get a prescription for them. I also use Diclofenac (Voltaren) gel which is a prescription as well. You can also get these over the counter. I've used ice and/or a heating pad depending on what I need. Compression gloves help the hands and braces can be used too. All of this depends on what type of pain you have and where it is located. What is your pain level? Do you have inflammation? Joint pain? Will your doctor give you steroids? Or an injection?

I take percett ,for my pain. My primary Dr. Gives me a prection for 90 a mo. I take them when I just can't take the pain anymore. I will never take another shot of stroids again. Never never never. I paid a big price
By taking stroids shots. They sure help in short turn.
Have a good night.
